Ophthalmology The Eye Department offers a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services for routine eye check up and eye ailments. Staffed by experienced Ophthalmic Surgeons, the department is equipped with state of the art equipment which helps in providing excellent eye care to the patients. Surgical procedures for cataract, glaucoma and squint correction are routinely performed. The technique of Phacoemulsification and foldable Intra Occular Lens are also available. Excimer Laser surgery is offered for correction of short sight (Myopia), long sight (Hypermetropia) and astigmatism; along with Corneal Topography and Pachymetry for pre-operative assessment.

The department also provides comprehensive care for all kinds of Glaucoma patients including gonioscopy, automated Perimetry and optic disc photography. Facilities for laser and surgeries for glaucoma patients are also available.

The newly acquired ND YAG laser facilitates the treatment of after cataract and narrow angle glaucoma.

Patients with retinal diseases can get treatment for most of the retinal disorders, as the department is equipped with Argon Laser, Fundus camera, A/B scan, etc. Procedures like Fundus Fluorescein Angigraphy, Argon Laser Photocoagulation etc are routinely performed.

Refractive errors including keratoconus patients are provided with a good choice of contact lenses.

Common industrial accidents like foreign body in the eye, eye burns and other trauma are promptly attended to any time.
